A drop tower lifts seated riders straight up a vertical tower, holds them at the top, then releases them into a near free-fall before the braking system brings them smoothly to a stop. It is one of the highest-thrill, most visible rides a venue can install — the tower itself works as a landmark that pulls visitors in.

Drop Tower — frequently asked questions
What is a drop tower ride?
A drop tower is a vertical amusement ride that lifts seated riders to the top of a tower and releases them into a controlled free-fall, with a braking system bringing them safely to a stop near the ground. It delivers a short, intense thrill and is one of the most visible rides in any park.
How much does a drop tower ride cost in India?
The price depends on tower height, number of seats and theming. Modern XD manufactures drop towers in Gwalior, so there is no import duty or overseas shipping, which usually makes it more affordable than an imported ride. Share your site size and budget on the enquiry form for a quote within 24 hours.
Can the drop tower be customised?
Yes. Modern XD customises tower height, number of seats, theming, colours and lighting to match your site, audience and budget. Because we manufacture in-house, custom changes do not depend on an overseas supplier.
What does my site need for a drop tower?
You need a level foundation area for the tower base and queue, enough vertical clearance, a suitable power supply and space for a safety fence. Share your site dimensions and our engineers will confirm the right model and provide foundation drawings.
Does Modern XD install and service the drop tower?
Yes. Our engineers handle delivery, installation, testing and commissioning, then provide after-sales service and spare parts. Modern XD installations across India have run for 8+ years with ongoing support.
